Amara & Theo

A Wedding at Fern Hollow Estate, Hudson Valley, New York

Amara and Theo laughing as guests throw petals after their garden ceremony

The story

Amara and Theo wanted the orchard to remain recognizably itself—open, a little unruly, and familiar to the people gathered there. The ceremony followed the gravel path; dinner unfolded beneath the pear trees with loose garden flowers and long, shared tables.

Rain arrived just before the vows and softened the whole afternoon. The plan shifted quietly indoors for an hour, then returned outside, leaving the day feeling spontaneous without asking anyone to manage the weather.

““We wanted the orchard to feel like us, not like a venue. Even when the rain came, the day stayed easy and completely our own.””
