June & Aster — A Wedding at Sandpiper Cottage

The story

June and Aster invited fourteen people to a weathered cottage above the Mendocino coast. They wanted the day to feel spacious enough for real conversation: coffee in the kitchen, vows near the bluff, and a long lunch with the doors open to the sea air.

Nothing was added simply to make the gathering feel larger. Spring branches, good linen, and food cooked in the house were enough. Tide, wind, permits, and the narrow coastal road were handled quietly so intimacy never became inconvenience.

In their words

“We wanted the orchard to feel familiar, not staged. Even when the rain arrived, we never felt pulled out of the day or away from our people.”
