Maya & Oliver — A Desert Wedding at Casa Yucca

Joshua tree and pale boulders beneath a clear desert sky

The story

Maya and Oliver invited twenty-two people to a low desert house surrounded by boulders and open sky. They exchanged vows at sunset, then walked back together for dinner in the courtyard. The design stayed close to the landscape: sand-colored linen, sculptural branches, smoked glass, and a menu cooked over fire. After dinner, everyone carried blankets to the rocks for music beneath the stars.

In their words

“We wanted the orchard to feel familiar, not staged. Even when the rain arrived, we never felt pulled out of the day or away from our people.”
